Interesting coincidences!

I visited a couple of my favorite thrift stores in the past couple of days and spied a few really interesting vintage trunks.   I would love to have a trunk style coffee table for our cabin, but I think first I should worry about putting regular furniture in it first (ie. tables, chairs, couches, etc…  yes, we have no place to sit!!)

Here were my finds:

From Community Forklift (http://www.communityforklift.com/)  a neat old trunk that had “1897” stenciled on the top:

From the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Restore (http://www.habitat-mc.org/restore/)

They had their own trunk stack!   Image

This one was also at Restore and very cool – complete with stickers and lined inside.  Nice!

Now for the interesting coincidence!    Today I received a tutorial on DIY projects for the weekend – featuring how to make a table from an old suitcase.   So here you go!
