It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over! My kids are back at school. We’re all adjusting to the new schedule – my high schoolers are out the door at 6:30 AM. Ouch!
One of the big items I did for Twin Oaks Studio this summer was to sign up to be a vendor at Lucketts WINTER Market. Lucketts Store typically has a big Holiday Open House in November, and this year they are adding a handful (60 or 70?) of vendors to the event. The dates are Friday November 8 to Sunday November 10th. I’ll be outside, under my tent, with lots of holiday decor. Hopefully its either warm or snowing!
One of the other things I did this summer was spend lot of time at auctions. I was lucky enough to have my youngest sister visit for a week in July. We did a lot of auction-hopping, and had a blast. I’ll preview some of the goodies I purchased – many are geared for the Winter Market.
I purchased a lot of vintage silverplated silverware. A LOT. I have over 400 pieces! I don’t know about you, but I’m always seem to need more serving pieces for big holiday meals and parties. I polished up almost all of the pieces (by hand, crazy me!) and they sparkle and look amazing! Here it is all in a bunch before their beauty treatment.
This is a small sampling of the pieces all cleaned up. Its an eclectic assortment of pieces but they look amazing together. Every holiday needs a little sparkle, right?
This little stove is so cute! I thought it was the perfect size for an American Girl Doll. The door of the stove opens and you could at one time cook in the oven and on the stove top. The electric was disabled (the plug was cut) so now its just for pretend play. It’s in beautiful vintage condition!
I’ve also been making Christmas ornaments. This pine cone ornament has a cute loopy bow. I’ll have more like these in my booth for the Lucketts Winter Market.
I hope you have had a relaxing summer!
Thanks for stopping by!
