I hope you have been enjoying a nice relaxing summer! 🙂 In between ferrying my kids to and from various destinations, I have been trying to wrap up and start a few projects. There is always something going on in my household!
This is a piece I just finished. It is a vintage buffet, possibly from the 1970s. It is very solidly built with pretty lines and detailing. It had some surface scratches but overall it was in pretty good shape.
I painted the buffet a couple layers of custom mixed Annie Sloan chalk paint colors, so the bottom layer is a medium blue and the top layer is a blue-grey I achieved with a 50:50 mix of Louis Blue and Paris Grey. I distressed it a little so you can see the bottom layer a little bit here and there. The hardware is painted as well. It turned out very pretty! Perfect for a dining area, decorative storage cabinet or even as a nursery changing table. Couldn’t you picture this in a little girls room?
I like how it is bowed in front. Even the drawer fronts are curvy!
This picture shows the distressing. Not too little, not too much, just right!
This piece will be listed on my “For Sale” page. Thank you for stopping by!
PS – I will be linking this post up with the below link parties. Thanks for hosting, ladies!
